Our landlord came to the apartment yesterday with the handyman because our freezer has not been keeping things cold enough. My husband and I were both at work so the our landlord and handyman were alone in the apartment. I didn’t think anything of it, until we got this message many hours later about the condition of our bathroom. Since we consider the bathroom to be generally clean, we asked for specifics. Our landlord went on to send a list of things like dust on the back of the toilet, toothpaste on mirror, and soap scum in the shower. We were both a little offended and confused. My husband wanted to respond and put some boundaries in place, but I don’t want to jeopardize our rental. Is our landlord crossing a line or am I overreacting?
