not posting this to start an argument or some endless debate, just simply using this platform to get my thoughts out on some patterns i’ve noticed. this harry daniels situation has revealed some double standards to me. manon has been getting criticized for every little thing since her hiatus was announced, with many people in this sub saying that she should be aware of her social media activity because of how it affects the other girls, how she shouldn’t have went on stage at coachella with pink pantheress and tried to “steal” the attention off of the other girls, how she basically should just disappear and go into hiding out of respect for the other 5 members until an announcement is made, even if she was forced into a hiatus that she didn’t want. even when she’s the one potentially wronged by her company she’s still expected to consider others and watch what she does.
now we have a situation where lara and megan were allegedly (heavy on allegedly) sharing information with someone that had no business knowing the ins and outs of manon’s situation. immediately after, so many people started absolving them of any responsibility, saying that they’re still very young and that they’re still learning who to trust and who not to trust, that they deserve grace. people are saying that it’s not just manon’s situation snd they can tell whoever they want, etc etc. some people are defending megan and lara while at the same time finding some way to blame manon, even though i don’t see how she’s the one the blame in this situation. if the situation was reversed and it was manon possibly sharing info about another members situation y’all would be dragging her to hell regardless of if it was true or not.
at the end of the day none of us really know what is going on behind the scenes and harry more than likely just seriously exaggerated what was told to him, if anything was told to him. none of the girls deserve the hate they’ve been getting but y’all need to start keeping the same energy y’all give to manon, otherwise some of you are no better than the manon solos you continuously complain about.
EDIT: lol guys i’m not trying to make this a competition of the who gets hate the most. i only made this post because yesterday i saw quite few posts on here that were defending megan and lara while at the same time finding ways to blame manon. all i’m saying is that you can’t be that person that speaks out against bullying and then you go and make up ways to blame another member. this post is directed to those people who do that no one else. i’m not a manon solo nor am i OT5, i love all 6 girls and none of them deserve the disgusting hate they’ve been getting from either side.
