Im crying my eyes out because my maltipoo goes tomorrow to get neutered.. im feeling so bad. Is it going to benefit him in the long run? Why do I feel so bad

We just got our pup.. he's all white.. when we first picked him up he had gunks of brown stuff in his hair under his eyes.. I've given him a bath and I've been cleaning them with wipes.. is there something to use to get that hair white again or does it need to be cut off?
