If my wife and I were to move to cypress from McAllen with a baby on the way (so soon to be family of 3), what would a livable income be? Wife will most likely not work and just do school, and we would rent in cypress (currently own a home here in McAllen)

Got no debt but my mortgage.

Any recommendations that have decent pricing? My house has an open carport looking to close it. In the McAllen area, as well what’s needed permit wise to do that and put up new fencing ?

I’m a first time homeowner, so permit requirements are new to me.
