Gold member got a worse room than a non-status friend at same SLH. Would you be upset?
We stayed at an SLH in NYC this weekend for our anniversary trip as a gift to ourselves to visit friends and see a show. Booked a specific room type (king, city view, balcony, Japanese soaking tub). Requested a higher floor. Friend booked the same room type, last minute, no status.
We got a higher floor but: worse view, regular tub (not the standalone Japanese soaking tub that sold us on the room), no bidet, no table/seating area, no robe or laundry bags. Friend got everything pictured.
As Gold members, we paid the same for less. Found out after checkout. Not sure if I should ask for points or money back…just feel ripped off. Would you be upset?
