Hi everyone!
I'll be coming to the University of Milan (UniMi) for the upcoming Spring semester via Erasmus. I'm currently looking into the accommodation situation and noticed that the university dorms operate on a "first-come, first-served" basis.
For those who have been through this: how fast do these spots actually fill up? Is it a matter of seconds/minutes like a concert ticket, or do l actually have a realistic chance if I'm quick?
Also, in case I fail to secure a spot in the dorms, what are the best budget-friendly alternatives in Milan for a student? Are there specific neighborhoods or platforms (besides the usual suspects like DoveVivo or Spotahome) that you'd recommend for someone on an Erasmus budget?
Any tips or "hacks" for the application day would be greatly appreciated. Grazie mille!
