All these new BORING apartments
So what's the deal with all the new apartment buildings that have sprouted up in Huntsville? I'm talking about everything from The Stella in Five points to the one across from Lowe Mill, those around Stovehouse, and Mid City, and down around the VBC and Big Spring.
Is there some kind of zoning law that says "All multi-family and multi-use construction must be absolutely free and void of anything remotely resembling interest, uniqueness, and most importantly, charm"?
I know we are never going to get anything Frank Lloyd Wright-ish here, or Frank Gehry, or even Michael Graves (irrespective of the fact that they are all deceased), but come on.
I can only assume they were all designed by the same architect, who is currently celebrating his "bland beige shoebox" period of work.
