Anxiety over potentially experiencing Galvanic Shock. How likely is it to occur?
Hi folks, I'm hoping to get something of a rough answer on this.
For the record, I have an excellent dentist who's already stated that it's very unlikely I would experience Galvanic Shock, with him stating it's not something folks tend to get in the modern day with advancements in dental technology. I was just looking for a second opinion or so.
I've just gotten two metal fillings in my upper and lower back teeth on the left side of my mouth and have a few more to get put in in the coming weeks. I am quite an anxious person who is very squeamish and have noticed I've developed a sort of phobia of feeling a harsh shock in my mouth by accidentally hitting it with cutlery, or even foil when having a Burrito, etc.
My overall question is, will my fillings always be sensitive to other metals or does this ware off over time? I'm not so worried about the very back teeth as I'm not going to stick a fork that far in my mouth, but I'm getting some fillings on my bottom left 5, right 5 and right 6 which I'm thinking of paying extra for to get white resin fillings.
I am aware I am an absolute wimp, but would I have mild OCD where this is playing on my mind a lot right now (probably because I'm content and have nothing else to worry about)
Cheers!
