My dad works for a major lawn cutting company Monday to Friday and on the weekends he mows lawns on his own in order to afford to survive in this economy. He asks me all the time if I can go Friday evening and Saturday all day to help him so he can get done faster and rest the thing is that I don’t want to work weekends either.
To solve this issue i have told him I will mow his house during the week while he is at work. I have my own pick up truck, I have experience mowing lawns, I know how to use all tools and I know how to drive with a trailer. I have told him I won’t charge him anything I will put gas on my truck out of my own pocket and all earnings will be given to him. I will simply do it to help him out and so we don’t have to work weekends. However he always says no that if I can’t help him on the weekends he will do it on his own and he does which leads him to working all weekend long or I have to help him.
Again if I don’t help him he will go do it himself self but im left feeling guilty and I don’t understand why he doesn’t let me do it during the week, these aren’t high end accounts by any means they are cheap people that help us live pay check to paycheck. I would understand if it was a high end account that he is worried I will mess up but idk it’s just cutting grass.
what would yall do help or let Him be I did forget to mention he is way older in age
