Hi! I’m a 38 year old ftm of a 5 month old. He’s amazing and I love being a mom. I always imagined having 2 children but am strongly considering one due to the cost of living, having two dogs, and both of us working from home in a house that is already too small. We also don’t really have family help. I’m exhausted trying to do it all and had a complicated pregnancy and previous pregnancy losses. Being that I’m in my late thirties and have a demanding career (I that I don’t like) I feel like if we choose to have another we need to do it sooner than later because I’m already physically and mentally exhausted trying to keep up.

I’m the youngest of 4 kids and loved growing up with siblings. My partner isn’t close to his large age gap older sibling.

I have a supportive partner (in parenting) but I am the main source of income. We live in Sacramento, in Northern California.

I would love to hear from people who decided to have another baby that we’re considering having one child and then from those that had one solo child.

Just any experiences to help me figure out what to do. I know I just may be in the thick of it now and want a second baby later.
