Stylist ruined my hair
I had a not great experience at a new salon today. The stylist had a rented space in a suite and closed the door with no fans or vents while working with chemicals to give me full highlights. She was also vaping an e cig right behind and beside my head multiple times while working. Even after I disclosed i am pregnant. I had to ask to open the door because I was getting a headache. Overall she was really unprofessional. She didn’t have enough time to blow dry or style at the end of my appointment as someone else was waiting so she sent me out with dripping wet hair. I dried it at home and was extremely disappointed with the results. I showed her the inspo pics in the collage at the start of my appointment. In the collage, the top left photo is my hair before the appointment - it’s closer to the inspo pics than what I got when I left. I specifically told her my main goal was to get rid of the orange and brassiness in my hair from a copper box dye I did back in February, and go lighter more obviously blonde. She put toner on my whole head and this made my hair even more orange and brassy. I also feel like my hair was over processed because it’s very dry and very frizzy. Definitely not the texture it usually is. We also discussed how fine my hair was.
I texted her the collage pic and let her know I wasn’t happy with the results after drying it at home and she has offered to bring me back tomorrow to correct it, but I’m honestly scared to let her try to fix it. It’s so uneven and splotchy everywhere. It feels damaged/over processed (not gummy or mushy, but brittle). I regret even going to her in the first place. She stated this should be a quick fix, agreed it was probably the toner, and wants to do a bleach wash. That idea scares me given the state of my hair right now, and less than 24 hours after this appointment.
Should I just get a refund and have it corrected at my trusted salon? I paid $340 including her tip to be left with this. Or should I go back to her tomorrow and let her correct this? I also know the inspo pics are achievable as I sent her photos of my hair after one full highlight session from my usual salon (also after the same copper box dye) - it turned out very light blonde, not damaged, and very close to the inspo pics so it isn’t like I’m expecting something unrealistic.
