Whats the most ridiculous thing you have cried on while being on periods?

I cried right now watching Haley's delivery episode from Modern Family, esp when Mitch and Cam introduced the babies to the song "Circle of Life"

My married bsf has a shit husband + MIL + SIL. Together they have made her life hell.

For the longest time, I did feel bad for her. But I refuse to understand that despite the dynamics, she chose to get a child in her marriage. She could have easily postponed this for a few years.

Additionally, on the days her partner and MIL are not giving her a tough time, she is either:

  • touring resorts
  • going for kitty parties
  • or trips with her husband’s gang of housewives

She has let her ambition take a back seat and refuses to leave the marriage because of the money and the trips that come along with it. Because why else would you stay in this setup when you were once an ambitious woman?

Also, she was planning to visit me recently in my city. I told her it would be tough for me to have a straight conversation with her husband because of what I know of him.

She had the audacity to tell me that I need to be mindful of my behavior because that would be the stepping stone of whether he would “let” her meet me. LET HER?

And then, a few weeks later, she calls me crying about her in-laws (including her husband) and their shenanigans.

Am i that single friend who is just a punching bag

I’m getting really tired of people assuming I’m “simple,” “nice,” or easy to figure out just because I don’t wear makeup or fit a certain look. Especially on dating apps, it feels like some guys see a bare face and instantly decide who I am without actually getting to know me.

I’m just choosing how I present myself. That’s it. It doesn’t mean I’m naive, low-maintenance, or whatever stereotype they’ve made up.

It’s honestly frustrating having people project a whole personality onto you based on something so superficial. Anyone else run into this?
