Hi everyone! Planning a vacation to New Zealand and would appreciate adviceee

I’ve been checking different routes via Hong Kong, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur, but not sure which one is the most practical / cost-efficient.

Questions:

> Is it worth doing a self-transfer to save on airfare or is it too risky / hassle?

> If transiting via Australia (self transfer), do I need an Australian visa even if I’m only connecting flights?

> What other feasible routes would you recommend from Manila to New Zealand to avoid Australia visa complication hassle?

> Any Auckland places, food spots, or day trips worth adding to the itinerary?
