Hi, I am putting together a pc for point cloud processing for friends who run a surveying business. I am hoping someone can sanity check my parts list for me… especially RAM.
The Spec I was given:
https://rcdocs.leica-geosystems.com/cyclone-register-360/latest/computer-specifications?
https://help.appsincadd.co.uk/hc/en-us/articles/360014237412-n4ce-Recommended-Minimum-Specification
@ Recommended Specs
Additional info:

Max: ~100GB
Usually single large files
~10 active projects locally at once
Scans
Typical: 20–30 setups
Max: ~100 scans
Software
Leica Cyclone REGISTER 360
n4ce
AutoCAD + Excel
Not heavy multitasking currently
Workflow
Full pipeline:
Viewing / measuring
Registration
CAD modelling
Processing
Storage / usage
Working from local NVMe
Older projects archived to cloud
Workload pattern
Larger jobs (~100GB) rare currently but may increase
Ideally want same-day turnaround
The parts list I’ve created:
https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/cqj8MF
My main concern is 64gb RAM vs 128gb as its insanely priced at the moment but I also don’t want the system to not meet the appropriate spec.
I would really appreciate any feedback.
Thank you
