ASUS ROG G STRIX 16 Thermal Throttling
it's been around 7 - 8 months since i got this new laptop , 2025 ver of this laptop,
the exact name is asus rog g strix 16
the specs are as follows:
intel ultra 9 275hx 24 cores
32 gigs ddr5 ram
rtx 5070ti 12gb variant
now i was experiencing the throttling issue at the start but didnt reallly realize it , i was playing beamng drive which was the core reason how i found out my cpu was thermal throttling , as the game is driven by physics and is more intensive on the cpu , i found out that when i spawn in more cars , the cpu hits 40W (max) and stops right there, i was confused cause this can easily 120+ if need be and then i ran a bunch of tests on cinebench r23 and timespy on 3d mark demo
the score on r23 was 21000 which was low apparently
and the timespy score was 16000 which is also low, the best score w the same specs was 21000
assuming that the 21k score was actually tuned or overvolted but even then the 5k gap isnt explainable and i also used aida64 to find that it thermal throttles instantly just under load
as you can see it barely crosses above 36W due to the thermal throttling issue, now i found out from a few reddit posts that its common among these models , im disappointed in a way that i paid such a huge price for this to be botched by shitty manfacturing, can anyone suggest what to do , do i try to replace the LM myself (p.s i have no experience in LM) and the service centers in india arent that trustable either), do i contact asus i still have warranty as well
