Dog doesn’t want kibble anymore
I have a medium poodle that just turned 1 year old. We recently transitioned from puppy food to a specially made poodle adult food (royal canin). A short while after we had fully transitioned she started to not want her food. This is a dog who used to love kibble and had never not finished a meal.
She does eventually eat but she will wait until the evening meal and doesn’t seem to enjoy eating it even then. She doesn’t eat the required daily amount anymore. But she still has great energy, is playful and seems happy. And she happily eats other things like chews, treats, etc.
Does anyone have experience with this? Should we start doing a topper, switch to a different food, or just keep trying and hope she eventually gets used to the new food? I’m a bit at a loss here.
