Advice on balls

Hello all, been reading the sub for awhile and have been bowling for about a year. I'm running into a similar problem which has been recurring for quite some time that I can't figure out how to address or fix.

I'm a one handed lefty, with average speed and rev rate about 325-350. I currently use a Phaze AI and a Phase 2. I have no idea how they're drilled, the pro shop did both of them and I don't know what or how he did it.

The problem I have is that my balls don't react how I expect them to when lanes appear drier, which is often the case where I bowl (Bowlero). The recurring issue is that I either crossover (Brooklyn) if I hit my mark or slightly right of target, but if I move my target left to compensate, then the ball skids on oil forever and never comes back to the pocket. There seems to be no margin for error, the ball either overhooks or never comes back.

My Phaze AI feels too strong, in that it crosses over to Brooklyn often. But the Phase 2 is often very weak, it doesn't have any real angle on the backend so I end up deflecting off the pocket often. I know axis rotation has a lot to do with it but I can't consistently do that with my release, I'm mostly releasing from behind the ball and rolling it forward.

I don't want to keep buying balls if I don't know what the problem is. I also just completed a 32 week league and have experienced the same issue, I wanted to give it time and I feel like I've done what I can but haven't been able to fix it.

When I bowl elsewhere that actually has oil on the lanes, I don't have this problem.

Is it as simple as just buying a new ball for drier lanes?

Thanks for all input.
