386 Nightguard Comparison
Stoked I scored a new 3" model 386 Nightguard today. S&W really made a lot of sweet improvements over the original 2.5"!
- The 2.5" has a Performance Center trigger job, amd the new 3" feels.... DAMN close if not the same as the PC job, wtf!?!?!
- The 3" barrel for that tiny bit of extra oomph!
- No Hilary lock is CLEAN!
- New style front sight is really easy to pick up for me! Double pinned is kinda interesting, and I suppose extra secure.
- New rear sight is going to be fun to really dial in different loads... at least until it gets an optic, but it might not, due to the sweet Irons setup.
I am 110% happy with the new skool 386 Nightguard, Smith killed it with a very subtly improved version. I will always love my OG 386NG, the new version is everything I would legitimately have done to make a sequel. Making the new one 3" is a nice move to help the collector demo. retain their value, if you're into that kind of thing.
The only thing that would have made it cooler is if they gave it the full length pic rail treatment, *HEAVY SIGH*.
