Hello there,
My name is Álvaro I am M36 and I am going to move to Toronto for 6 months a year at first, and then following year full time as an expat. I am from Spain and I am a Mechanical Engineer that is going to open an engineering company branch. I am going to be busy but it is prior for me to build a nice and healthy social life to make my stay in Toronto las longer and for years, why not. So, I am looking for an interesting group of friends. I am not much into partying but into sports (Gym), interesting conversations, coffee (a lot), socializing and hey, I can party too ok? I love house parties, deep techno and socializing but I am will leave soon as I am training hard everyday.

Right now I am not really interested in dating but finding a nice group of friends.
My value proposition xD: I can make you laugh as hell, I am easy going , I am used to relate with many different cultures as I have travelled all around the world, I speak English and Spanish (native from Spain) , I can coach you in the gym and make from you a beast! For free, really, I love helping people with it!
I’m a free ride skier, I played in a stoner rock band for years (I love concerts too), I love techno, underground culture but also classy one, if you have a dog I will love it to be with us, entrepreneurs? Please yes I am developing an app too and I need to speak with someone about it! Haha.

I also love racing motorcycles although I guess Toronto doesn’t have the best weather to ride them and I fish a lot in my home town (San Sebastian).

I’d the vibe matches you, hey let’s meet or I would really appreciate if you invited me to a circle of people that you already meet, if you dislike me you can do ghosting with me haha.

By the way, what is the best (the best) gym at Toronto? I saw life fitness have serious powerlifting racks (at least some of them).

Thank you!

Hello there,

Some context: 36M, 5’11”, started training 2 years ago after a ski accident. Spent the first year rebuilding from almost nothing and today I have not been able to train my legs properly (cause injuries).

Put on around 17lbs of muscle and got down to 8% bodyfat. Currently cutting at approx 0.46lb/weekslow but I haven’t lost a single rep on any lift.

PRs at 170lbs bodyweight: pull-ups with +110lbs extra, dips with +121lbs, never done a bodyweight pull-up before this journey started so I am SUPER HAPPY.

What moved the needle the most was tracking volume per muscle group properly and being patient with the deficit. No magic.

I don’t drink alcohol since I started with the gym (never) and I train 5 days a week nowadays (I track kcal and macros)
