Made a post about finding my stash of seeds gathered from a hermie. I'm going to try and bring her back to life

Grew some weed when I was around 18 (im 38 now lol) yhe turned hermie on me. But i found some seeds i kept stored in a pill bottle in a storage bin!

So I'm disabled and use a mobility scooter. It's my "car" one could say. A few days ago the throttle just let go from the potentiometer mechanism? Whatever its called, the torsion spring also fell down. I'm horrible at explaining these things. So I apologize lol.

In the picture there is a gray "T" bar. Running through that bar is a silver pin thing. There is a tiny set screw on that pin. From my understanding that little set screw, it's supposed to raise the thing that is on top of the silver pin. But it seems like the set screw doesn't do anything. When I get everything lined back up and tighten that set screw, nothing happens. The gravy tea bar just falls down again.

Any idea what the problem might be?
