So I’m running a Kenwood 4707S head unit with a Power Acoustik RZR1-2500D amp and a Kicker Comp R 12 in a box tuned to 35 Hz.

On the amp, I’ve got the subsonic set around 30 Hz, the low-pass filter at about 80 Hz, and the gain set to match roughly 550 watts.

While going through the head unit settings, I noticed it also has a low-pass filter for the subwoofer, and it’s set to 80 Hz too. That got me wondering—if both the head unit and the amp are set to 80 Hz LPF, could that cause any issues?

I’ve also noticed that if I turn the LPF knob to “through/open” on the amp and just leave it at 80 Hz on the head unit, it seems like it hits harder and “produces” more bass.

i might be stupid, but, i have my gain set to roughly 550watts at full bass knob, subsonic roughly 30, lpf roughly 80.

is it supposed to move this much? I dont have much experience with subs and im scared of blowing it. il the general common stuff, just not non-common stuff

i was turning bass up via my knob in the video, at the end it was maxed at 550 watts.
