Trying to understand coverage for rain damage
I have comprehensive coverage on my car, and it rained quite a lot recently. Enough so, that I noticed it got inside my engine bay. I didn’t get any electrical issues, besides the car developing a misfire. It seems water got where the coils go (on top of the spark plugs), which there is no other way to get water there, besides leaking from the top. How in the world does insurance classify this? Can I file a claim? It’s certainly not a mechanical issue. Quite literally water at the last 2 cylinders, right underneath the windshield, where most of the rain water really is falling. There’s drains on the car, and they work fine. no leaves or anything stuck. But somehow water got through. What can y’all advise me here? Thank you in advance!
