Please be brutally honest
I bought this car 6 years ago and I believe that it’s been rusted before I bought it and covered up with bondo. I’m a production welder and am attempting on repairing this on my own cutting out any and all possible rust and fixing it slowly but surely. I’d love it if I could have someone hold my hand every step of the way if I could but I’d say Reddit is my best bet in this case. This is my drivers side rocker/quarter panel rust is it salvageable? I’m probably still gonna try my best to save it even with the other side looking just as bad if not worse I just want to know if I’m wasting my time or not. I’m ready to be working on this thing for months if I have to so I can do it right the first time and never have to deal with this again. So far I bought the whole quarter panel replacement and I was hoping to just cut into that and see if it’s possible to use any of the remaining metal as scrap for any other spots I have to replace but am probably gonna end up buying the rocker repair panels as well seeing how rusted they are.
