Hello everyone!

Last year I've bought Olympus OM-D E-M10 Mk 2 and started taking pictures of birds, nature and other things related to nature. It was a pretty nice experience, I learned some lessons about my equipment, so I would like to ask fellow photographers about their opinion on my findings and ask about possible upgrade paths.

My findings about Panasonic Lumix G Vario 45-200mm f/4-5.6 OIS (1st version) which I used for bird photography:

- Quite soft at long edges (although I personally don't mind it)

- Slow autofocus makes it quite hard to take photos of birds on the fly. For me it was something like a gamble, because I was able to catch even quite big seagulls flying only a couple of times in 20+ shots. It's possible, but quite hard.

For this summer I've bought Panasonic 100-300 (2nd version) lenses and currently I'm thinking if I should replace my camera as well.

My reasoning:

- Better autofocus (Hybrid PDAF + CDAF)

- Better ergonomics

Additionally, I just like how the camera looks like. 🙃

Would be great if you share your thoughts if replacing the camera makes sense here. Right now I can't afford Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mk 2, but swapping E-M10 Mk 2 with E-M1 Mk 1 through MPB will cost near to zero, so I just wonder if it's worth the hustle.
