the pain of missing you,
is the only way i know,
to remember our love,
and what it was like to hold you,
i'll let my tears flow,
and nourish the longing,
i hope you won't forget me,
but if you do,
i promise to remind you,
you are my purpose,
and daddy will smile,
and endure all the world's ills,
if only to have you in my arms again,
i love you son.
