Hey everyone,

I’m looking to finally switch from an IPS over to an OLED and was hoping you guys could help me narrow down my options and or provide any advice to help make a decision.

For context, I’ve played strictly 4K using a 4080s/I7-14700KF on a 27 inch 160hz ASUS IPS panel for the past few years since I switched over to PC from console.

I am most likely waiting until the 60 series GPUs come out before I upgrade to a new PC. This along with wanting to play at a higher consistent FPS (in both fast paced fps games and story driven single player games) I figured this would be the best move long term even at the expense of resolution.

I have 3 monitors I’ve been eyeing and would be open to any experiences you guys have with them and or any pros/cons to each if possible. Also I am that weirdo that prefers Matte coatings so I’m basically out on any glossy panels.

These are the 3:

- 500hz 1440p Samsung G60SF (QD-OLED)

- 480hz ASUS PG27AQDP (W-OLED)

- 480hz LG 27GX790A-B (W-OLED)

The LG is the one I used at a friends place before although pretty sparingly.

I know it’s a loaded question but which one would any of you guys prefer whether it be for the panels OLED care, SDR brightness, Uniformity, Text clarity etc…?

Also if there are any options better for around the $650ish price range I’m open to recommendations.

*Quick note, most of my time will be spent gaming on it, not productivity work if that makes any difference.

Thank you guys in advance.
