My 100 series has some significant rust through the frame (2003 205k miles New-England)
The mechanic I saw did not want to put the vehicle on the lift due to this.
My options are:
* 'Patch' the frame by welding some steel plates to the affected areas.
* Any thoughts on this 'band-aid' method?
* Replace the frame with a "rust-free" used frame
* I was quoted $2,000 for the frame, and approximately $6,000 in labor. Does that sound realistic?
* Sell to a private buyer or trade it in
* Any idea on the value?
Does anyone have any experience replacing or 'repairing' their frame? The quotes came from New Hamshire based "CrusierParts"

This was some really tough news for me. I absolutely love my cruiser, and she is also my daily driver.
Any advice is super appreciated!
