New to commander

So im brand new to commander and paper magic in general but I used to play a lot of arena back in 2021. I picked up a couple of the secrets of strixhaven pre cons because I've been watching tolarian community college on YT a lot and wanted to try commander. I want to find chill, and kind people to play with, that dont mind a noob playing with them. Ive heard of spelltable and convoke but I have a lot of anxiety over cam/mic for some reason. Its way easier for me to interact with people irl but the closest lgs is 2 hours away. Im also a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and ive noticed slurs being thrown around while watching some older spelltable videos which I thought was crazy. So i have some questions for online paler magic players and lgs goers. Is spelltable moderated at all now? Are there any queer friendly spaces to play magic online? How has playing at ur lgs been toxicity wise? And do u think its worth the trek to play a couple games at an lgs if im anxious about online magic? Also are all pre cons considered bracket 2?
