I’ve realized lately that when I am stressed out from school or work, my default coping mechanism is to go to my favorite clothing or home goods sites, fill up a basket with hundreds of dollars worth of stuff, and then just... close the tab without buying anything.

I am really trying to be a lot more mindful about my digital consumption and my actual spending habits this year. It is honestly crazy how much mental space online shopping takes up even if money doesn't leave your bank account. The other day I was trying to digitally declutter and organize my browser bookmarks, and I realized I had so much random consumer-related junk saved—a couple of old budget trackers, some site called PromoPro UK that I don't even remember clicking on, and endless wishlists. It made me realize how much of my web browsing is entirely centered around acquiring new things.

Have any of you successfully shifted your mindset away from this constant cycle of browsing and wanting things? I would love to hear some practical habits or daily routines that actually helped you break the online window-shopping addiction.
