Upgrade/sidegrade from a Jackson JS12 to an Ibanez AZES-40?

<context>
Beginner-Intermediate guitarist here. Been playing for ~3 years. I started on a cheap Chinese strat knock off which was surprisingly good for the price, then upgraded to a Jackson js12 dinky (within a year) cause I wanted to do more of hard rock/metal going forward.

Now, since I record a lot of guitar for myself and for others (I’m a music producer), I’m considering for my next guitar, the Ibanez AZES40.

From what I’ve seen from reviews and listings, it’s got a ton of tonal options thanks to the dynamix thingy on it. And it’s also got a shorter neck compared to other super strats (I think…?)

**My question is,** would it be a good idea to just go out and buy the azes40, or should I try and find something better or something with similar features and tonal options in this range? I’m mainly interesting in a lot of tonal options in the sub 450$ range (something which could possibly be available in India)

(PS I’m also most probably gonna upgrade both of these guitars with a bone/graphteq nut and locking tuners. And most probably the pickups on the dinky as well.)
