Prodigy vs M&P 2.0

I started shooting comp in November, been using my ccw 43x irons, I got the itch and want to build a gun strictly for comp. I am being offered a prodigy 4.25 comped for $800 and i have no 2011 experience, but i know its becoming the new "norm" for competitive shooting. My first option is m&p 2.0 polymer or metal but the prodigy deal is making me re think... or i could get both lol.

I know everyone's going to have their own opinion, thats what i'm wanting to hear. thanks.
