This is a question to all the Golf owners. What was your last car and how do you feel after ownership of a golf.

I can get a golf but the thing is just getting one is a big strech for me. I was thinking of a rav4 or mazda 50 but since they cost almost the same plus for me the advantage of a SUV is on par with the emotional attachment to golf is same, I started wondering but since it's a strech I have been second guessing myself about golf because the Idea is you can never go wrong with Japanese cars as opposed to German engineering.

What are the regrets?

What is the actual cost of owning a golf aprt from fuel, oil change, and insurance? (Since they are all variable depending on the usage)

You get the general idea, so shoot....
