I went on Bumble just to explore the childfree scene… and honestly, I was this close to giving up. Most people either didn’t understand the “don’t want kids” filter or weren’t serious about it.

And then one swipe changed everything.

We started talking, met within a few days in Coimbatore, and it just clicked. It felt easy, natural… like we’d known each other for a long time. There was this quiet certainty that this could be something really special. And now we are engaged :)

He turned out to be everything I had ever hoped for in a partner (even the things I thought were “too much” to ask for or I dint deserve). Same life goals, values, morals and most importantly, both of us are clear about being childfree. For once, it didn’t feel like compromise or adjustment was needed just to make it work.

I’m genuinely grateful. I found him when I had almost zero hope left and had made peace with being on my own.

He sometimes says he wishes we had met earlier but I truly feel this was the right time. I’m in a much better mental space now, and everything has unfolded in a healthy, effortless way.

At least for me, good things seem to happen when I expect nothing at all. Also, one thing that truly made a difference, I'd highly suggest meeting in person as early as you can, instead of spending weeks or months just texting or talking over calls. It literally changed everything for me.🧿

Posting this here for the community - don’t lose hope.🤍

Edit: No, Bumble didn't pay me for this (I wish). Just sharing my story.😇
