Being 2026, it really bothers me that I can’t just check a store’s stock online either before heading into town, or to place a pick up order for a blaster or two.

This mainly stems from frustration today, walked into a cleared out target looking to get my daughter a Disney Neon blaster that was gone. And bought 2 blasters from sets we’ve never opened. and felt meh about it the whole time. Should’ve just left, but I’d already drove the 30 min in, and at this rate almost spent the cost in gas.

I get the purpose is the world the hobby lives in with scalpers bots and the like, but let’s be real, they camp the stores anyway.

Let me be the gen whatever letter it is I am and head to the pickup parking spots.

Rant over.

Just wanted to share and brag up my experience with the hobby with my 6 year old daughter.

I started getting back into cards around Easter after consuming hours of videos and stuff to just get familiar. It’s turned into each week, I’ll get a blaster (a mega if I’m feeling frisky) and my mini me and I will sit on the floor and rip and have fun reading names (education practice good parent award)

So we’re about 5-6 weeks in and we hit our first auto. Of course, not worth a thing, but super cool to see her excitement, and add to it explaining to her were from Pittsburgh and he plays there.

It’s not about hitting an Ohtani to me, (but I won’t say no) and yes I do it for fun to me too, but her excitement has made the journey so much fun too.
