Hi all,

My wife and I will be in Chiang Mai for 6 days in mid-November, with a 10-month old). We have only booked flights at the moment and are thinking about where to stay.

We really love beautiful scenery so we’re hesitant to book a hotel in Chiang Mai city. We have thought about maybe Mae Rim, as we would be staying in lovely scenery but not too far from activities / venturing in to the city for good food etc..

Any suggestions on hotels / areas in beautiful scenery (mountains, rice paddies etc) but not “middle of nowhere”. We have heard of Chiang Dao but that might be too far out?

Any recommendations on activities for our 6 day itinerary would also be appreciated!
