I just turned a fake book into a light switch for my bookshelf. I did it by attaching a door sensor and then connecting it to a smart plug.

What are some other cool hidden features you have seen on bookshelves?

The obvious answer is a Murphy door or hidden room behind the shelves somehow. My question is looking more for other ideas. Cool gadgets or any hidden features.

Before you suggest it, I am not a gun owner and do not need to hide a gun…
