I'm embarking on a needlepoint stocking journey. I designed the canvas myself and will be painting and then stitching it. I was wondering about finishing. I know stocking finishing is pricey and I'm well aware of the long wait times for LNS finishing as well.

Has anyone ever had a seamstress finish a stocking before? Do you think it'd be doable and reasonable for a seamstress to do it? I'm not a sewer at all (I've done some ornament finishing here and there but that's the limit of my sewing experience lol) and also don't have the equipment to properly sew, so I'm hoping to find a way to keep the price lower if possible and the wait time shorter...

I came across this super pretty yarn on Etsy and wasn't sure what weight would be appropriate for 13 and 18 mesh canvas? Does anyone have experience or advice using yarn on needlepoint canvas? Thanks!
