Hello!
I was playing commander last night with some friends and I pulled out my [[Karlach, Fury of Avernus]] // [[Hardy Outlander]] deck when we started a bracket 2 game. I explained that the deck is strong for B2 but it can brick pretty hard. I’m also of the understanding that the bracket system is more of a conversation starter vs a deck ranking system, which is why I explained that it’s kinda strong for B2 since the deck can chain combats.
When we played, I was able to get [[Ojer Kaslem, Deepest Growth]] out on turn 5 or 6 and was able to consistently get value off of the combat damage trigger and get a bunch of free spells and lands since nobody removed it from the board. By the end, I had a pretty big board with an attack trigger doubler and Karlach out (also wasn’t removed) and I ended up losing the game because I had [[City on Fire]] and [[Anzrag, the Quake-Mole]] out and one of the other players fought Anzrag with a [[Brash Taunter]], hitting me for 24 damage and killing me.
After the game, they all said that my deck was definitely a Bracket 3 deck, even though the game went on for like 10+ turns, I lost and ultimately if Ojer or Karlach were just removed I would have been set back quite a bit.
I wanted to ask here what your consensus on the deck was. Most of us have only been playing for under 2 years (myself included) so I’d love to get more experienced opinions on the deck so I don’t misrepresent it going into pregame bracket conversations.
Here’s the decklist!
