I have 2 7 month old male puppies up for adoption
In August of 2025 a stray female dog in my neighborhood was on my porch seeking coolness. I posted her on NextDoor people in my neighborhood believed she was dropped off since they noticed her roaming around for a few weeks. I fed her for a week and her belly was getting huge. I took her to the vet, no microchip and they did an ultrasound and saw she was pregnant. In September she gave birth to 6 puppies. I have since gotten 4 of the puppies adopted, but I have 2 males left. I have done everything from friends and family, to contacting rescues/shelters they claim they are all full in my area. I live in Houston Texas where the stray pet population is so high (it was not like this several years ago) and I do not want to surrender them to the k shelters here, but I have spent all my savings on them and I have been laid off with zero job prospects the past 2 years (scientist in biotech)so I can no longer take care of them. I have posted them on Facebook groups, Nextdoor everything and all the prospects just disappear. They are great puppies, I potty trained them/ they sometimes use the puppy pad. I am just at a complete loss and idk what to do and my own situation is declining as my funds for myself are coming to an end. I spent all on shots, appointments, getting the females in the litter spayed as well as the mother. I have had no help. Really worried about this.
