Is this a good purchase for $60 to start reloading 6.5 Creedmore for PRS purpose?
Ultimate goal is A&D FX-120i but I just bought a press and need a good place to start.
Any other recommendation on the 100s?
New to reloading — planning to reload 6.5CM & 5.56 for PRS. Mechanically inclined (ME + tool & die background).
Heard single-stage is the way to go for precision, but I’m eyeing:
-BL550 kit ($799)
-Used XL650 ($550 friend deal).
Been warned off progressives due to QC concerns, was advised:
- Frankfort Arsenal M-Press
- Foster Co-Ax
- RCBS Rock Chucker
What’s should I do?
EDIT: My budget is initially $500 to $800 initial small on single stage but open to dip on savings for progressive.
Bought the Athlon Rancegraft, downloaded the app on v 1.30.81 and it was working (the app was giving me the basic DOPE even though it was not retrofitted with the Chrono speed (which I found odd, thats why I bought that chrono!)…
Updated to V1.40.81 an now there is no DOPE calc at all.
Decided to Log-off & Log-on and now I cant even connect.
Any ideas? (Already DM the Athlon team) any other app that works with that chrono or is all manual input from here to future.
