Getting Into Star Wars Omnis

So I would love to know, if y’all were starting to collect Star Wars in Omni format, what is the BEST way for someone to get into collecting TODAY? What is something that definitely is essential, something currently available or announced/pre order, and something that has strong material (for the most part) from start to finish etc etc. I used to have the Vader Omnis and after having a bit of a fallout with S.W. sold those off which I am regretting lol but I’m back and ready to get back into it!

I just got this slab back from CGC and it doesn’t look like the comic has that typical plastic material covering within the slab? Is that normal? I tried to take pictures to show what I’m talking about, hope that helps.
