I keep catching my brother (under 18) playing this game called “Mafia”. It looks very old school with simple UI and chat rooms instead of normal gameplay.

At first I thought it was just a random low-quality game, but he spends a lot of time on it and seems very focused. After checking it out a bit, I realized it’s some kind of social deduction game where players lie, vote, and try to figure out who the “Mafia” is.

Honestly, I don’t get why it’s so engaging compared to modern games with better graphics and mechanics.

Is this game actually popular? And what makes it so addictive for younger players?
