I have a booking on 05-May for EK049 from Dubai to Munich. I logged on FlightAware to see if the flight has been on time over the past few days. However, I saw that the last flight was on 08-Mar and that was cancelled!

I haven't received any communication from Emirates yet regarding the flight being cancelled or delayed. I do have an alternate booking, but would prefer to use Emirates because it is cheaper and shorter.
I know Emirates has been quite good with refunds so far, so I'm not concerned even if they cancel. Ideally, I'd like to decide which airline I'm taking by 01-May. How should I handle this?
EDIT: I spoke to Emirates - they are starting this flight on 01-May itself. I figured I'll see whether it takes off on 01 and 02 May and then decide. Thanks for your inputs!
