Just got a new Genesis S-435 and bought the crafted series griddle to go with it. I followed the directions and put the griddle on the right, and it works well. My preference would be to leave the griddle in place all, or most of the time. However, the right side has the sear zone and you are not meant to use the sear zone with the griddle in. Is there any reason not to just put the griddle on the left side of the grill instead of the right so that I can still use the sear zone with the grates?
