Long haul flights at 18ish months?

Just wondering if someone could share their experience of how hellish this idea is at that age. Currently 12 months, planning to travel to Thailand around November. I think she’s been on around 20 flights in her flights so not the first time at all and so far we never had any issues but now she’s walking and doesn’t like to sit still anymore. But other than that, still very easy to take her pretty much anywhere. Not sure if it’s temperament or just because she’s so used to it. Anyway, I often heard 18 months is the worst age for travelling. So please give me your honest experiences!

The constant mess

More so venting but before I had a child I was a very type A person with admittedly a bit of an obsession with cleaning and keeping my house tidy. Both of those things don’t go together with a child which is fine but omg the mess, the absolute constant never ending mess and cleaning. Am I doing something wrong here or is this normal haha.

It’s 1:30pm and we are already through 2 pairs of leggings. I just had to change my dress as well because she touched it with her sticky fingers before I could clean them. 3 times a day the highchair is a mess, constantly wiping surfaces down. Cleaning the kitchen post a meal while she’s throwing every single baking utensil I have on the floor (completely fine because I let her to keep her busy while I do the dishes but it’s just funny)
Every time I wipe, it’s a mess again. Feel like I’m always either removing a stain or trying to prevent one.

It’s next level now that she walks around and gets into everything. Just mopped the floor and she spilled her water all over. Fine, then threw a strawberry.

And what on earth was I thinking when I put a cream coloured fluffy rug into her nursery when she was still a potato thinking “that’ll be fine for when she’s a toddler too to play on” was I out of my mind?!

Bit of a random question but my LO wakes at night for a sip of water. Doesn’t need milk or anything else but obviously cries until she has some water. She’s 1 this week.

I can’t really find information on this as I know it’s a bit of a topic to add anything to the cot / safe sleep but could I put her cup (won’t spill everywhere) in the corner of her cot so she can help herself when she wakes up?
