So my crush(21M) has been purely a friend for like 3 or so months and I’ve(21F) been trying and failing to get over my feelings, especially since he spent my birthday with me last weekend and we had a moment where I was subtly touching his knee.

He’s had a talking stage going on with another girl which is what stopped me from pursuing him but over the past week since my birthday happened, we kept hanging out since the bday hangout bonded me, him and our other friend so much cuz we were high at the aquarium.

And over all the hangouts we’ve been having in the evenings, we kept talking and he’d bring me surprise cake slices and keep asking questions about what I liked but I didn’t wanna misread his intentions and feed my delusions

One of these such nights, he tells me about how his talking stage is kinda ending cuz things aren’t working out. They can’t see each other often, they barely talk anymore etc

The very NEXT NIGHT after he vents about all this, his talking stage sends him a text to end the whole endeavour and I have no clue what I’m doing but as we hang out that night and talk abt how he’s feeling, I end up giving him a scalp massage as an excuse to touch him

I knew it was pushing the bounds of friendship but in that moment I thought I could justify it since we’ve been hanging out so much. At some point during the massage he says “I like you” AND I DONT KNOW WHAT TO SAY SO IM DEAD SILENT FOR A GOOD FEW SECONDS until I say “I do too”

Anyways the next afternoon, he sends a paragraph confessing that he likes me and I’m so fucking excited that I go do laps on the cricket field outside my room to get the energy out 😂
