Hi all, I’m planning to go to Fabric London (night club) and I’m a UK medical cannabis patient with a valid prescription. I wanted to ask if anyone here has direct experience taking their prescribed medication into Fabric or similar London clubs/venues.
I would be carrying it in the original labelled packaging, with my prescription/clinic letter or proof available if needed. I’m not looking to use it inside the venue, just want to know what the entry/security process is likely to be and whether it’s safer to contact them beforehand.
A few questions:
Can Fabric refuse entry even if it is legally prescribed?
Should I email or call the venue before going, or is that likely to complicate things?
If security find it during bag search, do they usually check the prescription and allow it, or could they confiscate it?
Has anyone had experience with Fabric specifically, or with London club security and prescribed medical cannabis generally?
I understand no one can give official legal advice, but I’d really appreciate hearing what the usual procedure is and what documents I should carry to avoid problems.
