Here's a fun easter egg, just before the chapter 6 boss, you can take a quick (and very lethal) trip >!down to the previous floors megastructure!< [This is end game plot spoiler stuff]. Here's how to do it.

On the small platform on the final runup to the chapter 6 boss (the one that's directly beneath the boss platform), you can head past some gas tanks and travel all the way across to the other side. (Pic 1)

If you turn left and head to the pipe, you can climb on it and cross the chasm. (Pic 2)

Drop off the pipe when you've crossed and head to the small hole. (Pic 3)
