Question about connecting turntable to outboard gear.
Hello Reddit, I recently acquired a new Yamaha stereo receiver for my lovely vintage Pioneer turntable. I want to connect some sort of audio spectrum analyzer, like the BDS PP-131 or the Fungeneration RTA-131 (just for show). Could I use the tape record output of my receiver into the input of the analyzer, or will I need a separate phono preamp? I want to be sure before I make any more purchases. Thanks!
