Shiny Dream Team Quest: Complete
When I heard Pokemon Fire Red & Leaf Green were finally being ported to the Switch, I knew exactly what I had to do. A full odds Shiny Dream Team Quest.
There were no ACE Glitches or RNG Manipulation in this playthrough, just good old full odds shiny hunting for different colour pixel Pokemon.
This was only done with 1 Switch, so not hunting across multiple devices. The Alakazam was traded back to me by a friend who is also doing a STDQ.
Here are the breakdowns in terms of how long each shiny took to pop:
Charmander: 2324 Encounters
Magikarp: 3939 Encounters
Abra: 17,997 Seen (Game Corner)
Dratini: 3,088 Seen (Game Corner)
Lapras: 4101 Encounters
Zapdos: 7623 Encounters
Overall, an extremely lucky playthrough. Only over odds on one hunt and it was for statistically the easiest shiny to get in the game. We had a total of 39,072 encounters, and on average we got a shiny every 6,512 encounters.
Lapras and Alakazam were my favourite throughout the playthrough, If I could switch one out it would be Gyarados.
Next up is just a little break. Then will be hunting Mewtwo, Nidoran, Gastly, and the other legendaries before taking on the Elite 4 again!
